Lectors

Lectors

The Lector has the important and privileged responsibility of proclaiming God’s Word at Mass.  Any parishioner who possesses the ability to read clearly can, and is encouraged to become, a Lector.  The tour of duty for a Lector is three years and each Lector is scheduled to read two weeks every two to two and a half months.  Duties include pre-Mass preparation which involves reading aloud assigned readings for that week to assure proper pronunciation and an intelligent presentation of God’s Word.  If you are interested in lectoring, call the parish office to have someone contact you.
