Toni Fortunato - Choir Director and Musician

Toni has been with the 10:30 choir at St. John since 1986, first as a vocalist and guitar player and later becoming the co-director for the choir.   She is also a middle school counselor in the Federal Way School District for the past 24 years.   She considers it a true blessing to be able to worship the Lord in song with many of her closest friends.  When she isn't involved with her career or church liturgy she enjoy traveling, gardening, friends, and life with her husband and their two basset hounds. 

 

 

Teresa Gillett - Director of Development

Teresa Gillett is excited to start her new position as Development Director at St. John The Evangelist Parish.  She spent the last eight years as the Development Director at St. Benedict School in Wallingford, where she and her husband, Michael, are parishioners and where her now grown daughters graduated.  Teresa is looking forward her new chapter of being part of the dynamic and welcoming community that is St. John!   In her spare time, Teresa enjoys travel, cooking, walking and spending time with family. 

 

Margaret Golliver - Bookkeeper

Margaret spent her childhood at St. John and is happy to return as a bookkeeper for the Parish. Margaret is currently a member of Christ the King Parish where she helped her husband Guy run the Bite of Broadview for many years.  Her children attended Blanchet High School.  She and her husband Guy are adjusting to being empty nesters!  


Daniel Pelfrey - Coordinator of Evangelization and Faith Formation

Daniel and his family became parish members in 2007 with 6 of his 7 children either currently attending or alumni of St. John school. At various times Daniel has been active in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Knights of Columbus, as well as being a lector. Volunteering the last few years with confirmation is ultimately what led him to taking on a more official faith formation role in the parish. Usually you can find him and his family at the 5:00 vigil mass. 

 

Twi McDonell - Choir Director and Musician

Twi McDonell is a wife, mom, and familiar member of the St. John's community.  She and her husband, Angus, played with the 10:30 a.m. choir in the 90s until their university studies took them to Evanston, IL.  They moved back into Seattle in 2014. Twi's day job is serving as Theology Faculty at Bishop Blanchet High School.  On off hours, Twi enjoys music making, dinners with family & friends, lots of coffee, and skiing (preferably downhill!).

 

 

Sheila Marty - Administrative Assistant

I have been a member of St John Parish since 1993, my children Sean and Laura attended St John School and I worked on the school auction for 6 years. I have worked as an Interior Designer, Floral Designer, full time Mother and volunteer.  Now I am blessed to work part time in the Parish office as an administrative assistant.  When I’m not at St John I like to be active in our beautiful Pacific NW and be creative in my craft room.

My husband and I joined St. John in 2005.  You may have seen me in different roles around this vibrant community; I was a school parent (of now 2 graduates of St. John School), I am a member of the choir at the 10:30 mass, and I was an Extended Day Care Teacher.  Now, I am blessed to be a part of the Parish Office Staff as a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant.   Please stop by and introduce yourself; I would love to get to know you!

 

Father Crispin Okoth

Father Crispin was ordained on August 25, 1990 for the Archdiocese of Mombasa, Kenya.  He came to the United States in 2003 and came to St John in July of 2008.  In his spare time he likes to read, watch movies and also travel whenever possible.  For his full bio click here.

 

 

Ryan Roach - Maintenance

Starting in 1990 and ending 1998, Ryan worked in a supporting role for the maintenance department and completed special projects and needs as assigned by the school administration.  In 1998 he began working in the Extended Day Care program full time while continuing a support role for the parish in maintenance, until 2009 when he transferred over to maintenance for a full time position.  Ryan attended St. John School, playing all CYO sports, and graduated in 1988 with the citizenship award. He went on to Blanchet High School, graduated in 1992, then enrolled at North Seattle Community College and earned an Associate of Arts Degree. In his free time he retreats to his house in Central Washington to relax and enjoy the outdoor sports with his family and improve his outdoor photography hobby. Ryan is a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and can be seen filling in as a usher when needed. 

 

Julia Rudden - Director of Sacramental Preparation

I am thrilled to be working as Director of Sacramental Preparation here at St John Parish. I've been a member of St John Parish for many years. When not helping families on their sacramental journeys, she enjoys the outdoors in our beautiful Pacific Northwest with family and friends.

 

 

Joseph Tancioco - Choir Director and Musician

Joseph has been part of the St. John community since 1992.  He is one of the co-directors of the 10:30 choir, as well as Coordinator/Certification Programs Manager in the Office of Catholic Faith Formation at the Archdiocese of Seattle.  Outside of Church ministry, Joseph works in musical theatre in the Seattle area as actor, music director, orchestrator, and keyboardist.
