Children's Programs Survey

Children ages 5-12 are invited to participate in our Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) program.

For younger children, the options for Sunday School (ages 4-5) or Nursery (for ages 1-3) have been offered in the past. We are looking for parent input about offering Sunday School and Nursery for our parish's youngest children. Please answer this survey to provide feedback on these options, so we can plan for the needs of our parish families!

Vacation Bible School 2023 - Grades K-4

August 14-18, 9am-Noon in Egan Hall School Mezzanine, Grades K-4 (2023-24)

Calling all children who are in grades K-4 for the coming 2023/24 school year!  You are invited to participate in this year’s VBS!  The program, entitled Tracking Mary: Mysteries & Messages, features the Queen of Heaven Express – a special holy train traveling to the faraway places around the globe visited by Our Blessed Mother: Lourdes, Fatima, Guadalupe, England and Ireland. Children discover how Mary brings us closer to Jesus through the power of the Rosary. Children will enjoy skits, activities and games.

Teacher Vanessa Castillo will once again be leading this fun week.

Please contact Teresa Gillett, Director of Parish Development, at tgillett@stjohnsea.org or call 206-782-2810, ex 355 with any questions.

Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)

Children, ages 5 to 10, are invited to participate in Children's Liturgy of the Word at the 10:30 Mass. - Most Sundays, October through May. As with all programs, sometimes last minute cancellation due to volunteer teacher illness may occur.

Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is a program for children ages 5 to 10. They are invited to attend during the liturgy of the word portion of mass. Led by two parent volunteer teachers, they go to a classroom on the ground floor of the school building and will return after about 20 minutes. There, the children will learn about the readings of the day and the gospel, at their own level, and will have the chance to ask questions, sing songs and hear stories.  Parents are welcome to tag along.

Interested in volunteering as a CLOW leader or assistant? Contact Daniel Pelfrey at ceff@dtjohnsea.org to learn more.
